The Bayelsa state commissioner for local government, Serefina Otazi, has been kidnapped
Her nephew, Patrick Oba said she was kidnapped on Sunday in Otuoke, on her way to attend a funeral at Ewoi community in Ogbia local government area. It was learnt that she was in company of two ladies when the attack took place.
Otazi had served as commissioner for women affairs and acting chairman of Ogbia LGA.
Endurance Frank, a family member, told NAN that the family had reported the incident to the police and prayed that the victim would be released unhurt.
Otazi’s kidnap came a day after Nancy Dickson, younger sister to Seriake Dickson, governor of the state was also abducted. Nancy was taken from her shop located on Okaka road in Yenagoa, the state capital.
