Bayern Munich have confirmed Eintracht Frankfurt boss and former Croatia international, Niko Kovac, will take over as their new manager on July 1.
Jupp Heynckes is currently in charge at the Allianz Arena after Carlo Ancelotti left the club earlier this season.
Bayern have cruised to another Bundesliga title and are in the last four of the Champions League.
Kovac, a former Bayern player, is currently in charge at Eintracht Frankfurt
He has plenty of experience of the German top flight, having also played for Bayer Leverkusen, Hertha Berlin and Hamburg.
After a period as caretaker boss of the senior international side, Kovac was given the job full time and qualified for the 2014 World Cup.
Kovac was sacked though after less than two years in charge following a disappointing defeat to Norway.
He has been in charge at Frankfurt since 2016, helping them to avoid relegation in his first season.
They now sit fifth in the Bundesliga table just outside of the Champions League qualification places.
