The medical body has confirmed that 21 of the 48 people injured in the terror attack last night on London Bridge are in a critical condition.
At around 10pm last night a van attempted to hit pedestrians on the bridge before crashing close to Borough Market.
Three attackers then left the vehicle and then stabbed a number of people nearby.
Armed police responded quickly to events and the suspects, who were wearing hoax suicide vests, were shot dead within eight minutes of the first call being received.
London Ambulance Service said more than 80 medics attended the scene in south London and the injured have been taken to several hospitals.
A total of seven people and 48 people were injured in the attack that happened at around 10pm last night.
The injured are being treated in five hospitals across London.
A Canadian national was among those killed in the “senseless” attack, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau confirmed.
He said: “Canada strongly condemns the senseless attack that took place last night in London, United Kingdom, which killed and injured many innocent people.
“I am heartbroken that a Canadian is among those killed.
“We grieve with the families and friends of those who have lost loved ones, and wish all those injured a speedy and full recovery.”
None of those who died in the Saturday night attack on London Bridge and in Borough Market have yet to be named.
