The president-elect, The Gambia, Adama Barrow, is to be sworn in today Thursday at his country’s embassy in Senegal.
His spokesman, Halifa Sallah, revealed this in a statement on Thursday.
The statement read: “It is going to take place at the Gambian embassy in Dakar, they have changed the venue, at 4:00 pm (1600 GMT).
Barrow himself tweeted the information earlier the today.

The ceremony had been slated for a stadium in Banjul, the Gambian capital before a change was made Thursday.
The incumbent, Yahyah Jammeh, has refused to surrender power after losing in the December, 2016 presidential election.
