Reports have it that yet another one of the Chibok girls abducted by Boko Haram terrorists in 2014 was rescued by troops deployed in Pulka, Borno state today.
Preliminary investigations reveal that the young girl identified as Salomi Pugo is the same as one of the girls on the list of abducted Chibok girls. She is number 86.
She was intercepted in the company of another young girl, Jamila Adams about 14 years old with a child. They are currently receiving medical attention in the custody of troops.
Some other women and children were also rescued.
While the girl may be flown to Abuja to meet President Muhammadu Buhari and join her peers who are being rehabilitated, other rescued persons may be kept in IDP camps in Pulka and Maiduguri.
