Former Vice President Atiku Abubarkar has officially announced his return to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He made the announcement this afternoon in a Facebook live broadcast.
This happened just few hours after receiving some North East PDP leaders in his Adamawa home.
Atiku, in the Facebook live broadcast, explained that the issues that sent him out of the PDP, a party he helped found, had been resolved. He also regretted that the plans and manifesto of the All Progressives Congress (APC) which attracted him, had fizzled out due to the present administration’s poor leadership.
He said the APC had failed Nigerians inspite of the huge promises it made before the 2015 election.
He also reggretted that the APC had promised to create three million jobs but in the last two years, almost two million jobs had been lost, with a lot of 18-25 year-olds unemployed.
He explained that job creation, especially for the youths, was his primary focus.
