President Muhammadu Buhari has received the report of the National Minimum Wage Committee.
The report was presented to him on Tuesday evening by the Chairperson of the Tripartite Committee on the National Minimum Wage, Ama People.
The members of the Committee, made up of the Federal and State Governments on the one hand; Organised Labour, represented by the Nigeria Labour Congress, United Labour Congress and Trade Union Congress; and the Organised Private Sector arrived at the new National Minimum Wage on Monday night.
The president, after receiving the report, approved the N30,000 minimum wage agreed upon, saying a draft bill will be forwarded to the National Assembly to effect the change from N18,000 to N30,000
