Reports have it that nine suspected cases of Monkeypox have been reported in Delta state with six of the cases in Agbor.
The PUNCH reports that a doctor at the Federal Medical Centre Asaba, confirmed the development.
The report said the victims were diagnosed of the disease on Wednesday, and that their blood samples have been collected for tests.
The State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Nicholas Azinge however denied the outbreak of the disease in the state.
The newspaper citec a text message from him in which he said: “Not true! There is no case of monkeypox in Agbor ,not even any patient with a high suspicion of it.”
