Operatives of the Department of State Service (DSS) on Tuesday night arrested the former Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Major-General Azubuike Ihejirika (rtd).
Ihejirika who served as head of the Nigeria Army under former President Goodluck Jonathan was picked up at his residence in Maitama, Abuja.
There has been no official statement from the DSS explaining the reason for arrest but there are speculations that it may not be unconnected with the ongoing arms deal probe.
