The candidate that would the flag of the Peoples Democratic Party in the forthcoming governorship election in Edo State has emerged.
He is Ize Iyamu. He emerged victorious at the Edo PDP guber primaries held on Monday.
He scored 584 votes to beat Mathew who had 91 votes and Solomon who scored 38 votes.
Governors Ifeanyi Okowa and Dave Umahi of Delta and Ebonyi states respectively, were present at the primary elections.
Iyamu will now battle Godwin Obaseki of the All Progressives Congress(APC) for the governorship seat to be vacated by incumbent Governor Adams Oshiomhole.
