The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Ondo State governorship election, Eyitayo Jegede has won his polling unit.
Jegede polled 220 votes to defeat incumbent governor and All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Rotimi Akeredolu, who scored 60 votes whille Agboola Ajayi, the state’s deputy governor and Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) candidate, who scored seven votes.
Jegede votes at Unit 009, Ward 2, Akure South local government located inside Sacred Heart Primary School, Cathedral area of Akure.
At the second polling unit in the primary school, Jegede polled 158 votes to defeat APC candidate, Akeredolu, who polled 43 votes and ZLP candidate, Ajayi, who polled four votes.
