The Court of Appeal on Friday dismissed the suit filed by former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Walter Onnoghen challenging the legality of his trial at the Code of Conduct Trubunal (CCT).
Onnoghen’s appeals before the appellate court included an appeal against the decision of the chairman of the tribunal , Danladi Umar, who refused to recuse himself from the matter on allegation of bias by Justice Onnoghen.
Apart from the legality of his trial at the CCT, he also challeged the order of the tribunal which instructed President Muhammadu Buhari to suspend him from office.
The CCT last month convicted the former CJN for non-declaration of assets.
