The senate has suspended the amendment of the Code of Conduct Bureau/Tribunal Act. the decision was taken at an executive session of the red chambers this morning. The day’s sitting was presided over by the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu.

The Senate decided to stop all moves that divides the house.
Other decisions reached at the session were:
- The senate would stand with Senate President Bukola Saraki in his trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal.
- Â Senators who have pending cases in Court should withdraw such cases.
- Senate to also set up a 12-Man Reconciliation Committee comprising two Senators from each geopolitical zone.
The petition against Senator Kabiru Marafa was also stepped down.
