Reports have it that the governorship candidate of the Alliance for Democracy (AD) in the forthcoming elections in Ondo State, Olusola Oke, has been arrested.
He was reportedly arrested in Okitipupa, Ondo State.
The reason and circumstances surrounding his arrest are not yet clear, but some reports have it that he was arrested by the Army for illegally being in possession of arms.
The reports added that the governorship candidate and members of his convoy are being detained at the Nigerian Army Barracks in Okitipupa.
Earlier today, the Court of Appeal indefinitely adjourned the judgment on the appeal filed by the substituted candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Eyitayo Jegede, against INEC’s decision to recognize Mr Jimoh Ibrahim as party’s candidate for the election which comes up November 26, 2016.
