The president-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, and vice president-elect, Sen Kashim Shettima, have recieved their Certificates of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
INEC chairman, Prof Mahmood Yakubu, presented the Certificates of Return to both Tinubu and Shettima at the International Conference Center, Abuja, on Wednesday.
The presentation came few hours after Tinubu was declared the winner of last Saturday’s election.
In his remarks, Tinubu urged supporters of his opponents to join hands with him to build the country.
He said his doors is always open to aevery citizen irrespective of tribe and religion, stressing that what should be germane to all Nigerians is the growth and development of the country.
The president-elect promised to place the youths at the forefront of his administration, renew the hope of every Nigerian and do his all to uplift the country.
Some of the dignitaries at the event inlcude Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; wife of the president-elect, Sen Oluremi Tinubu; wife of the vice president-elect, Hajia Nana Shettima; Senate President, Ahmad Lawan; Speaker, House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, APC governors, former governors, ministers among others.
