President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of a new Commandant-General for the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
The new boss is Mr. Abdullahi Muhammadu, who, until his appointment, was an Assistant Commandant-General. He succeeds Dr. Ade Abolurin, who has retired from service.
According to a statement issued by the President’s Special adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, the new NSCDC boss hailed from Muye in Lapai Local Government Area of Niger State.
Muhammadu holds a B.Sc in Sociology from the University of Sokoto, and a Masters in Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
