President Muhammadu Buhari has extended the tenure of Dr. Folarin Gbadebo-Smith as the Director-General, Nigerian Institute Of Social And Economic Research(NISER), by one year.
A release signed by the Director of Information in Ministry of Budget and National Planning, Hassan Dodo, and made available to newsmen, said the extension is in accordance with the extant provisions of the latest edition of the 2019 of the conditions of service for federal research and development agencies, institutes and colleges of completion of five years.
The extension takes effect from May 31, 2021.
Gbadebo-Smith is a recipient of many research awards and fellowships.He is a former Chairman of Ikoyi/Obalende LCDA.
He obtained a Masters degree in Public Policy as a Mason Fellow from Harvard School of Governance in 2008.
