President Muhammadu Buhari, on Tuesday, hosted a delegation of governors from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) at the State House, Abuja.
The agenda of the brief closed door meeting at the president’s office unknown as the governors refused to entertain questions from journalists.
Some of the governors moved over to the Office of the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, after meeting the president.
It was however learnt that the governors might have visited the seat of power to brief the president and his deputy on the plans of the All Progressives Congress (APC), ahead of the 2023 general elections.
Those at the meeting include the Chairman, Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF) and Kebbi State Governor, Atiku Bagudu; Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State; Dr Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State; Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa State; Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State; Abubakar Bello of Nige State; Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State; Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State; and Eboyi State Deputy Goveror, Dr Eric Igwe.
