CAN re-elects Ayokunle as President

National President of the Christian Association of Nigeria(CAN), Rev Supo Ayokunle, has been re-elected for another three-year term.

UBA GMD/CEO, Oliver Alawuba, conferred with doctorate degree by Imo State University

The results was announced on Tuesday by Bishop Matthew Kukah, Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, at the Ecumenical Centre, Abuja.

Ayokunle got 59 votes to defeat his main challenger, Rev. Caleb Solomon-Ahima who got 44 votes.

Rev Supo Ayokunle is the President of the Nigerian Baptist Convention and Rev. Caleb Solomon-Ahima is the President, Fellowship of Christian Churches in Nigeria.

According to the CAN constitution, Ahima becomes the Vice President of the organisation.
