Canadian rapper, actor, producer and entrepreneur, Aubrey Graham, popularly known as Drake, has revealed that Nigerian afrobeat singer, Temilade Openiyi, aka Tems, is one of the guest artistes on his forthcoming album.
The album, titled, ‘Certified Lover Boy (CLB),’ which was supposed to have been unveiled in January, but due to the knee surgery and recovery process of the singer was put on hold. It will now be released on Friday, September 3, 2021.
Drake has begun unfolding some of the features on his highly anticipated project via a series of billboards announcement across several cities of featured artistes.
He said Future, Tems, Lil Baby, Young Thug, Giveon, Lil Durk, 21Savage and Ty Dolla $ign will feature on the project.
Advert for the “Try Me” singer, Tems, read: “Hey Nigeria! Tems is on CLB.”
Recall that on October 30, 2020, Ayo Balogun, popularly Known as, Wizkid, released a single, ‘Essence,’ featuring Tems, and in August 2021, he featured her alongside American singer, Justin Bieber on the remix of the song.
Many Nigerians, however, believe that Wizkid’s ‘Essence’ shot Tems to limelight, hence, her inclusion on Drake’s anticipated album.
