This is in contrast to the announcement made by the United Arab Emirates(UAE) authorities on Tuesday.
In a travel update posted on its website, Emirates Airline said the suspension is “in line with government directives that restrict the entry of travellers originating from Nigeria into the UAE.
“Customers who have been to or connected through Nigeria in the last 14 days will not be permitted on any Emirates flights bound for Dubai,” the airline added.

In March this year, flights between Nigeria and the UAE have been stopped following diplomatic row over COVID-19 protocols.
While the Federal Government stipulates negative PCR test as a requirement for travellers to Dubai, the UAE imposed rapid antigen test as another condition for visitors to Dubai- a decision the Nigerian Government rejected, saying it was discriminatory against the country.
The UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), however denied targeting Nigeria or any particular airline in the measures taken in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, saying it was committed to upholding the highest standards of public health and safety.
