The trial of the leader of proscribed Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has come to an end after objecting the fresh charges leveled against him by the Federal Government.
The Federal Government had filed fresh terrorism charges against the detained IPOB leader before the Federal High Court in Abuja.
With the new charges, the initial seven counts of treasonable felony and terrorism against him increased to 15.
At the resumption of his trial on Tuesday, Kanu objected to the fresh charges.
The court will reconvene on Wednesday, January 19, forthe IPOB leader to take his plea.
Earlier, the lead counsel for Kanu, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, announced that human rights lawyer, Mike Ozekhome (SAN), will now lead the delegation of lawyers representing the IPOB leader.
