A Federal High Court in Abuja has granted bail to former Secretary to the Federal Government, Babachir Lawal.
Lawal and two others were granted bail in the sum of N50million each with one surety.
Trial has been fixed for March 15, 2019.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission arraigned him on Tuesday on a 10-count charge of fraud to the tune of N544,119,925.36.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges levelled against him.
He is being tried alongside Hamidu David Lawal, Sulaiman Abubakar, Apeh John Monday, Rholavision Engineering Limited and Josmon Technologies Limited
He was said to have private interest in the approval of N544,119,925.36, for the removal of invasive plant species and simplified irrigation.
He was arraigned before Justice Okeke of the Federal High Court in Abuja.
