Nigeria recorded a new highest daily figure of confirmed COVID-19 cases on Thursday, as 681 new infections were announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.
In a tweet on Thursday night, NCDC said the new cases increased the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 14,544.
Previously, the highest daily figure recorded was 663 on Wednesday, June 10.
According to the NCDC data, Lagos State recorded the highest number of cases- 345, followed by Rivers- 51 and Gombe-47.
it also said 4494 patients have been discharged, while 387 deaths have been recorded.
“681 new cases of #COVID19; Lagos-345 Rivers-51 Ogun-48 Gombe-47 Oyo-36 Imo-31 Delta-28 Kano-23 Bauchi-18 Edo-12 Katsina-12 Kaduna-9 Anambra-7 Jigawa-5 Kebbi-4 Ondo-4 Nasarawa-1,” NCDC said.
