Cross River State is set to float first commercial airline and shipping company in partnership with some foreign investors before December 2017.
According to AIT, Governor Ben Ayade stated this on Tuesday after a presentation by some potential transaction advisers for the project during an enlarged state executive council meeting.
Ayade expressed optimism about the prospect the projects will bring to cross river state revenue base in partnership with private investors.
Some of the would be partners of the project who assured the state of providing resource base on their professional competence said Cally Air will be a success.
Governor Ayade explained that the intention of running an airline was not only focused on making money, but the underlining philosophy is to drive traffic to Calabar, and to boost the economy and tourism potentials of the state.
