Before the release of Spectre, the last James Bond film, Daniel Craig reportedly told one interviewer “I’d rather slash my wrists” than play Bond again. This is despite the fact that he was paid a rumoured $65million for the film.
But Radar is reporting that Sony executives are offering the 48-year-old up to $150 million to play Bond in two more feature film, the two of which would be shot back-to-back.
However, Independent UK, quoted a Radar source as saying: “[He] has played a genius hand. Everyone knows how much executives adore him, and the idea of losing him at such a crucial time in the franchise isn’t an option as far as all the studio honchos are concerned.”
While fingers remain crossed as to whether Craig would accept the tempting offer, speculations over eight other actors on the list to replace him in the action series continue to rage.
Top of the list is Idris Elba, 43, whom is favoured to become the first “Black” Bond.
Others on the list are:
Michael Fassbender, 39
Luke Evans, 37
Charlie Hunnam, 36
Tom Hiddleston, 35
Aidan Turner, 33
James Norton, 31
Jamie Bell, 30
