The Lagos home of Ngozi Braide, a former Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Police command was reportedly burgled by her driver.
Reports said the driver identified as Philip Jonathan broke into Braide’s bedroom and carted away her belongings and foreign currency worth about N10million.
Jonathan, 38, was alleged to have stolen $3000 (about N1.1million); two gold chains worth N2.8million, diamond ring worth N3.6million and other valuables all totalling up to N10million.
Jonathan who was arrested by FSARS operatives was charged for conspiracy and stealing at the Ikeja Magistrates court where he pleaded not guilty.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O. Sule-Amzat granted him bail in the sum of N250,000 with two sureties in like sum. He was remanded in prison custody pending the perfecion of his bail conditions. The matter was adjourned till October 25, 2018.
