The DSS has arrested five persons suspected to be involved in the kidnap and subsequent murder of one Mr Sampson Worlu, a youth corps member serving in Imo State.
Reports said that after collecting one million Naira from the deceased family and another 1.5 million Naira, the abductors failed to release their victim abducted in November 2015.
The State Director of the DSS, Justin Ajayi, told Channels Television that the suspects – four males and one female – abducted Worlu at Rumuokoro, Port Harcourt, after some family members dropped him off to proceed to his camp.
According to the DSS, the suspects had been on the run until the only female member of the gang was nabbed.
The suspects will be formerly arraigned before a magistrate court in Port Harcourt.
