He has also shared a photo of himself with the founder of the station, Chief Adebayo Akande, whom he visited at home.
On his State Affairs Facebook page, he wrote:

“I am fine too
“Home is home”

Obilo had quit Splash FM in September 2016 after nine years at the station where he started out with sports presenting and later anchored popular shows like Voices, Bulls Eye and Economic Searchlight.
Voices generated a lot of buzz for the station but also drew him flaks from some politicians and notable personalities who got offended with some elements of the broadcast.
He allegedly got suspended and reinstated by the station before finally deciding to bow out, with some reports suggesting he was having a strained relationship wi the station’s management.
He went freelancing and took Voices, which he later renamed, State of the Nation, to Inspiration FM.
