Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested persons suspected to have engaged in vote buying in the ongoing Ekiti State governorship election.

According to Channels TV, some of the suspects were paraded at the Oke Ori Omi Area t Division of the Nigeria Police Force.

The suspects were reported to have been caught with monies allegedly used for vote buying.

Some other persons were also arrested at a private residence with a book containing details of voters of certain polling units.

Earlier, Kemi Elebute-Halle, the governorship candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP), had alleged that other political parties are inducing voters with money in the ongoing election.

Also, Social Democratic Party (SDP) governorship candidate, Segun Oni, said he received reports of vote buying in Oye LGA of the state.

“I have received reports of vote buying in Ado and Oye,” Oni said.
