Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, was quizzed by the EFCC on Tuesday. He is still being held at the agency’s office in Abuja as at the time of filing this report.
Sources said he reported to the agency at about 9am.
It would be recalled that Ekweremadu was invited for questioning last week Tuesday but a team of security operatives including EFCC operatives laid seige to his home same day.
The deputy Senate President has in recent times, faced multiple corruption allegations including claims that he forged Senate standing rules which led to the controversial election of principal officers in June 2015.
He has also been accused of owning multiple properties abroad, some allegedly purchased using shell companies and political associates fronting for him.
Ekweremadu has denied all the allegations. On Monday, he dared anyone with evidence against him to come out.
