The All Progressives Congress in Anambra State has alleged that collation of electoral results were being done in residential houses, hotels and other secret places.
The party pointed fingers at the Peoples Democratic Party, saying that most of the legitimate collation centres were left empty without any sign of electoral activities.
Speaking on behalf of members of the party in Awka on Sunday, the senator representing Anambra Central, who is also seeking re-election, Dr. Chris Ngige, said powerful persons in the state had held on to the results of the elections, leading to the delay in announcement of results.
Ngige said results sheets were also not made available at the centres.
He called for the outright cancellation of elections in the state saying that failure to do this, it will further worsen the situation.
“In some places, the accreditation was done alongside the voting proper. People voted as many times as possible,” he alleged.
