The Oyo State Health Insurance Agency(OYSHIA) has said the enrollment in insurance scheme has been growing rapidly in the state.
The Executive Secretary of OYSHIA, Dr Sola Akande, who stated this recently, said private organisations are also actively in enrolling and re-enrolling their staff.
He stated that that the newly recruited teachers in the state are also part of the process, noting that general hospitals in their respective local governments are reaching out to them to fill the necessary forms so that their names can be processed and they can start accessing quality and affordable health care.
The Executive Secretary also said the basic health care provision fund exercise is still ongoing, adding that the agency is still doing advocacy for more people to join and benefit from the scheme.
“We are employing people to key into this health insurance. The minimum is N8000 for a year and you will have access to quality and affordable health care for the year,” Akande said.
He further explained that mail and sms are sent to enrollees three month before the expiration of their plan in order to remind them about re-enrollment.
