All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain and immediate past chairman of Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON) in Oyo State, Prince Ayodeji Abass-Aleshinloye (MDII), has commiserated with the wife of former governor of Oyo State, Chief (Mrs) Florence Ajimobi, on the passing away of her beloved mother,Mrs Victoria Amudoaghan.
In a statement he personally signed, Abass-Aleshinloye described the death of Mama Amudoaghan as painful and sad.
The ex- ALGON leader described the loss as a sad event which will leave a vacuum in the lives of the children, family, close relatives and friends of the family.
Abass-Aleshinloye, who also described the deceased as “a quintessential mother, pillar of support to her daughter, devout Christian and community leader, who devoted her lifetime to the service of God and humanity,’’ said he received the news with disbelief and shock.
“As mortals we never want our elderly ones to die, but the Holy Books say that all souls must taste death. So, we have to submit to the supreme will of the Almighty from whom we came and unto whom we shall all return,” he said.
He prayed that mama’s soul will rest in perfect peace and that God give the Amudoaghan family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
