A former Big Brother Naija housemate and first runner-up of the inaugural edition of the Nigerian reality show in 2006, Francisca Owumi, is dead.
Her family announced her demise in a post on social media, with the caption: “A daughter and sister. May her soul rest in peace, Amen.”
The reality star was said to have passed on after a brief illness on August 29, 2024.
Known for her energetic moves on the dance floor, she was in the house with notable contestants such as the winner of the show, Katung Aduwak, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Gideon Okeke, Maureen Osuji, Ify Ejikeme, and the late Joseph Ada, among others.
She briefly ventured into the music scene in 2012, releasing two singles, ‘Gbadun You’ and ‘Diva,’ under her own record label, Cisca Entertainment.
She was also a writer for Revista, an international magazine based in Ghana.
