Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara has officially decamped to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Chairman of the APC caretaker committee and governor of Yobe State , Mai Mala Buni, disclosed this to State House correspondents on Friday, after he led Dogara to meet with President Muhammadu Buhari at the villa.
He said the president has welcomed Dogara into the party’s fold as well as other former aggrieved members of the party.
According to Buni, the reasons Dogara left the party do not exist anymore and the visit to Buhari is in continuation of efforts to rebuild the party.
The former Speaker said he would address the press at a later date.
In January 2019, Dogara announced his defection from the APC to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
