Fabio Carvalho is a Portuguese professional player. He was born in Torres Vedras, Lisbon, Portugal, on August 30, 2002.
The youngster started his career at Benfica’s academy before moving with his family to London in 2013.
While in London, he played for Balham between 2013 and 2015, before signing for Fulham.
He played for Fulham youth team from 2015, and his sterling performances earned him promotion to the senior team in 2020.
Carvalho signed his first professional contract with Fulham in May 2020, and went on to make his first team appearance on September 23, 2020.
He played for Fulham’s senior team for two years, accumulating a total of 40 games and scoring 11 goals, before being snapped up by Liverpool on a five-year contract.
The Anfield-based team paid £8 million to secure Carvalho’s services from Fulham.
The 19-year-old, who can play as a winger or attacking midfielder, had an impressive start to the 2021–22 season, scoring three goals in his first five matches as Fulham looked to return to the Premier League. As a result, he was awarded the EFL Young Player of the Month for August 2021.
Carvalho was a former youth international for England. He made 10 appearances and scored two goals for England U16 team between 2017 and 2018.
The highly rated youngster also played for England U17 team from 2018 to 2019, making six appearances and scoring one goal.
He made six appearnces for England U18 team between 2019 and 2020, before switching his allegiance to his country of birth.
Carvalho now represents Portugal internationally at under-21 level, scoring one goal in two appearances.
