The member representing Ibadan North East/South East Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives , Hon. Abass Adigun, aka Agboworin, has donated multi-million equipment to some hospitals in his constituency.
The beneficiaries also include health care centres and maternity homes in the two local governments.
Presenting the equipment on behalf of the lawmaker, his representatives – Idris Adigun and Wasiu Olanrewaju – explained that the gesture was in partial fulfilment of Agboworin’s pledge to increase the capacity of hospitals and health centres in his constituency, with the overall goal of improving healthcare delivery to his constituents.
A statement by his Media and Communication Director, Ibraheem Aremu, also indicated that the equipment would widen access to quality healthcare for residents of the two local governments.
The lawmaker promised his commitment towards more people-oriented projects, adding that empowerment of the masses was on the way to mark his two years in office.
Agboworin commended Governor Seyi Makinde for renovating some primary health care centres in the constituency.
“Health is wealth. Our party believes in the well-being of the people,” Adigun said.
Items donated include beds with mattresses, medical examination couch, artery forceps (medium), bed pans (stainless steel), urinal steel for females, standing fans, chairs, stainless covered bowl for cotton wool, graduated medicine cup (stainless steel), dissecting forceps, dressing trolley (stainless stilt), and solar rechargeable lamp
with fluorescent.
Others include kidney dish (large stainless steel), medicine cupboard, instrument cabinet, refrigerators, binocular microscope, test tube rack, blood lancet (Pack of 100), stool specimen bottles, urine dipstick for sugar and
albumin (Pack of 110), bed screen (Stainless Frame), sphygmomanometer(mercurial, table top), stethoscope, diagnostic set autoclave
sterilising drums (set of 3), stitch removal / suture scissors, writing table swivel stool and thermometer.
