Princess Bamidele Abiose Akande, the mother of the lawmaker representing Oluyole Federal Constituency in House of Representatives, Tolulope Akande-Sadipe, is dead.
A statement issued on Friday by the lawmaker’s media aide, Lekan Olusada, said Akande passed away on Friday, March 3, 2022, at the age of 91.
The statement described late Akande as a pillar of support to her family and community.
“She was a devout Christian and a loving mother to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her passing is a great loss to the family, her royal lineage and the nation at large. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
“As we mourn her passing, we take solace in the fact that she lived a fulfilled life and left a legacy of love, kindness, and service to others. Her contributions to the community and her unwavering support for her daughter’s political career will always be remembered,” the statement read.
Akande-Sadipe conveyed gratitude for the outpouring of love and support from friends, family and well-wishers during this difficult time.
