A member of House of Representatives, Hon. Tolulope Akande-Sadipe has donated twelve 300KVA transformers to communities in her constituency- Oluyole Federal Constituency of Oyo State.
The donations comes barely a month after the lawmaker facilitated empowerment programme for 200 women and youths in cosmetology; boreholes with water treatment plants and completed the construction of three schools in her constituency.
Akande-Sadipe expressed optimism that the transformers will significantly impact the quality of life and economic activities within the communities.
The beneficiary communities are Lafiku; Irepodun Abbey Technical; Idi Ishin; Egbeda-Tuba; Ifelodun; CRIN-Odo Ona; Alaagba; Orelope-Isale Alfa; Papa Eleye; Sanyo-Agbamu; Ori Apata Estate and Adewolo.
According to a statement by the lawmaker’s Special Assistant on Media, Mr. Olamilekan Olusada, Akande-Sadipe assured residents of her constituency of continued representation that would bring more benefits to them.
“Prior to the 2019 elections, I took my campaign to different communities in my Constituency in the quest to dialogue, exchange ideas on their expectations, and understand their needs.
“It was important for me to have a better understanding of the gaps I needed to fill and collect first-hand data from the people of Oluyole,” she said.
She noted that transformers were highlighted as a key need in the communities, adding that despite the challenges, she is committed to ensuring that more projects would be fulfilled and Oluyole Federal Constituency would experience rapid development.
The leaders of the communities took turns to express their deep appreciation to Akande-Sadipe for the kind gesture,promising to ensure proper use and secure the transformers.
