It was gathered that the bandis arrived the the community around 1:30am and attacked a poultry farm. The bandits shot the night guard at the poultry farm several times but he managed to escape.

The attackers also entered a factory in the area before attacking residential buildings dispossessing residents of their valuables.

A source confirmed that the bandits carried out their nefarious activities for over three hours and eventually left the community around 5am.

One of the night guards in the area, who identified himself as Segun, said: “They came to our community around 1am. I was on duty. Those bandits are looking for money, unfortunately, they could not get anything where I am securing. They attacked me with a machete.”

Also, a resident of the area who pleaded anonymity, said: ” I was tied and locked up in the toilet. After I managed to free myself and left the toilet, I was hearing gunshots even till around 5am. The robbers were five in number. Two of them carried guns and only one of them did not wear a mask.”

When contacted, the spokesperson for Osun State Police Command, Yemisi Opalola, said she has not been briefed about the incident.

Similarly, the spokesperson of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps(NSCDC), Osun State Command, Mr Daniel Adigun, said he is not aware of the incident.

Recall that bandits wrote a letter to the community recently, demanding N20 million from the residents and vowed to kill any security personnel that attempts to waylay them.
