The Federal Government has further extended the verification exercise of Directorate Level Officers in the Federal Public Service to July 15, 2016 so as to enable officers who have been away on official engagements and those who have until now not been verified to participate in the exercise.
This comes after the revised schedule and initial extension of the exercise.
The Federal Government also threatened to stop the salaries of those who do not participate in the verification exercise.
A circular titled: “Re: Verification Exercise For Directorate Level officers in the Federal Public Service,” signed by the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Winifred Oyo-Ita, and issued from her office to all Ministries, Departments and Agencies of the Federal Government, said:
“Officers who declined, under any guise, to participate in the verification exercise for the Directorate Level Officers in the Federal Public Service will be taken off the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System with effect from Monday, 25th July, 2016.
“MDAs who have not forwarded the list of their Officers on foreign missions and other official engagements outside Nigeria, should ensure that they do so on or before Friday, 15th July 2016.”
