The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Sen Teslim Folarin, has casted his vote at Polling Unit 002, Ward 005, Idi-Ose, in Ona Ara Local Government Area.
Speaking after casting his vote, Folarin lauded the proper coordination of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the effectiveness of security agencies.
He, however, lamented the low turnout of voters, and appealed to electorate not to be intimidated by hoodlums.
Folarin urged voters to come out and exercise their civic rights before the process ends, saying security agents are on ground to protect them.
He urged the electorate not to sell their votes for peanuts, saying, “it is a four years journey, don’t sell your conscience to people who do not care about you.”
The APC candidate alleged that there is a systemic buying of votes going on across the state, especially in Iwo Road area of Ibadan.
“They are distributing N5000 vouchers and food items. We urge the ICPC, DSS, EFCC and other security agencies to arrest the situation,” he said.
He expressed confidence that he will emerge victorious at the end of the exercise.
