The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and lawmaker representing Oyo Central Senatorial Sistrict, Senator Teslim Folarin, has condemned in strong terms the attack on Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s convoy by hoodlums.
The bus conveying the press crew of Lagos State Governor’s Office was on Sunday attacked by hoodlums on Lagos Island, leaving two journalists wounded.
The press crew bus joined other vehicles conveying dignitaries, including 2023 APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu; Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu; Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje; and others, who had just left the palace of Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwanu Akiolu.
Folarin, in a statement made available to journalists on Sunday evening, described the attack as politically-motivated.
“The attack on the press crew of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s convoy is utterly condemnable. It’s a politically motivated and criminal act.
“I urge the law enforcement agencies to fish out the perpetrators and bring them to book as it will serve as a deterrent to others,” he said.
