French President, Emmanuel Macron has tested positive for coronavirus.
The presidential palace made the announcement on Thursday.
The 42-year-old Macron was tested after he began to show symptoms associated with COVID-19.
According to the presidential palace, Macron will isolate for the next seven days but will continue his work.
A spokeswoman for the palace told Reuters that all of the president’s upcoming trips, including a visit to Lebanon that was scheduled for next week have been canceled.
Macron is now the latest world leader to test positive for the virus, after US President, Donald Trump, Britain’s Boris Johnson and Brazil’s Jair Bolsonaro, who have all recovered.
