The All Progressives Congress (APC) has cleared 12 governorship aspirants for the party’s primary election in Edo State.
The APC governorship primary is scheduled for Saturday, February 17, 2024.
The APC candidate in the 2020 governorship election, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu; Former Minister of Budget and National Planning, Clem Agba, and former governor of the state, Prof Oserheimen Osunbor, are among those vying to pick the APC ticket to contest the gubernatorial election slated for September 21, 2024.
A statement issued on Saturday by the APC National Organising Secretary , Sulaiman Argungu, said the 12 aspirants purchased forms and were screened on Thursday and Friday.
Argungu said certificates of screening will be presented to the contenders at the party’s secretariat later on Saturday.
Those cleared by the party are:

4. Anamero Sunday Dekeri
5. Osagie Andrew Ize-lyamu
6. Gideon Ikhine
7. David Imuse
8. Charles Ehigie Airhiavbere
9. Oserheimen Osunbor
10. Blessing Agbomhere
11. Dennis Idahosa
12. Ernest Afolabi Umakhihe
