OPC endorses Jonathan because Buhari is sorrounded by corrupt persons–Gani Adams
Factional leader of the Odua People’s Congress (OPC), Otunba Gani Adams, has said the Yoruba socio-cultural organization was in support of President Goodluck Jonathan re-election bid.
He said they found in him a better candidate with the right temperament and capabilities needed in sustaining the country’s unity and transforming its economy for the betterment of the citizens.
While speaking with aviation correspondents at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos at the weekend, Adams said an honest study conducted by the group showed that, the incumbent President had more character and better leadership qualities than the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari.
His words: “Courage or might and honestly, as many campaigners have consistently pointed out as the greatest virtues of Buhari which the country required does not make a total leader, especially where humility was not also an inherent virtue of such a person”.
Adams said that it was the highest level of hypocrisy for the APC to be painting Jonathan as a leader condoning corruption. He said each time he watched the APC rallies on TV and some of the governors coming out to speak about corruption, he was usually worried how true Buhari’s portrayal as anti-corrupt could be when he was surrounded by corrupt persons.
