The Nigeria Guild of Editors (NGE) has elected Garbadeen Muhammad to replace Femi Adesina as its president.
Adesina was sworn in on Monday as Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity.
Muhammad had been Adesina’s deputy. His election as Adesina’s replacement took place at a special convention by the guild during its just concluded annual conference, which held at Yenagoa, the capital of Bayelsa state.
The guild’s vice president ( West), Steve Ayorinde, was also elected as deputy president of the Guild while Funke Egbemode was elected as Mr. Ayorinde’s replacement as Vice President ( West).
