Lionheart, the much anticipated movie directed by Nollywood diva, Genevieve Nnaji, has started showing on Netflix, the entertainment network that acquired it on September 7, 2018, a day before its premiere at the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival.
The movie which is garnering positive reviews, has been praised for its rich Nigerian cultural infusion and promotion of Hausa and Igbo unity.
However, many Nigerians are unhappy with the subtitling that mixes up Igbo and Hausa languages.

Lionheart is produced by Chinny Onwugbenu and directed by Genevieve Nnaji. Popular faces in the movie include Nnaji herself, Pete Edochie, Nkem Owoh, Peter Okoye of Psquare, Phyno, and many more.
The movie, Nnaji’s directorial debut, is the first original Nigerian movie to be acquired by Netflix.
