Super Eagles technical adviser, Gernot Rohr, has said that he wishes to have retired goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama, back in his team.
The Lille of France goalie resigned from international football following a rift with former Eagles handler, Sunday Oliseh.
Rohr, speaking at a press conference ahead of the AFCON qualifier against Tanzania, said he has had a discussion with the player and is certain he will return.
He said:
“I have personally called him and I think we will need him after this weekend’s match. I am working to have all our players available for subsequent matches”
Rohr also said he was pleased with the quality of players available to him in the team. He praised the local league players who honoured an invitational tournament in Spain. He revealed that he had penciled down two of them for the national team.
He also vowed to make sure there was discipline in the team. Rohr said he was willing to live in the country but the Nigeria Football Federation were yet to get him a hotel.
On qualification for Russia 2018, Rohr insisted that a ticket could not be guaranteed as long as all stakeholders put in hard work and commitment.
